This school year has crept into unknown territory with the COVID virus flipping our teaching world. I only know my students through a class list.
Even though the learning mode is fluid this year, I am still pressing forward with creating and preparing a space conducive for safe, organized learning during COVID.
My students have not been in school since March. Getting acclimated to our classroom, virtually or physically will be a slight challenge.
My Project
Safety is key! The mesh bags and plastic trays provide an individual space for supplies. The mesh bags will be sent home with school supplies for distance learning. It will also be used for individual book bags. Plastic trays will contain personal belongings under the student's chair. Both items create an organized and safe space for storing student belongings.
Communication in the classroom is pivotal and the use of an amplifier will support clear communication with a mask.
The masks muffle sounds and hearing the teacher is difficult. This will ensure that I can be heard within the classroom.
