School Basics: a Laptop and Supplies to Empower Future Leaders

My Project

My Students:

Our JAG (Jobs for America's Graduates) program empowers high school students to overcome barriers and build brighter futures through career development, leadership, and real-world readiness.

Many of my students face challenges outside the classroom—poverty, instability, or a lack of access to technology. Still, they show up every day ready to grow, learn, and prepare for life beyond graduation. They are future nurses, welders, entrepreneurs, and college scholars, and they deserve every opportunity to succeed.

My Project:

As we prepare to return to school, my JAG classroom needs the basic tools for success—a reliable laptop, paper, pens, folders, and general classroom supplies. The laptop will be a critical hub for resumes, online job applications, digital career assessments, virtual mock interviews, and more. It will also allow us to connect with employers, college advisors, and guest speakers—essential parts of our career-readiness curriculum.

The Impact:

By funding this project, you're investing in a class that is preparing students for the real world—a place where writing a resume, sending a professional email, or logging into a job portal can change a life. With these resources, especially the classroom laptop, we’ll be equipped to bridge the gap between classroom learning and future success.
