My Students
While my students come from high poverty backgrounds, the challenges they may face on a daily basis have not affected their passion for learning. I teach multiple subjects in a self-contained gifted 7th and 8th grade where my students who have a love for learning and are eager to come to school each day.
My students want to succeed, and I strive to create an environment that is relevant and engaging to them.
I need to keep my students excited about their futures and educations.
My Project
This Scholastic magazines will help my middle school students by reinforcing ELA skills. They are able to provide engaging content pertaining to current events for my students to read to help make them more global citizens.
The articles are high interests and expose students to a variety of genres that are necessary for our students to be confident readers and help master grade level content.
These Scholastic magazines help my students become analytical readers, writers, and confident test takers. They are perfect for my self contained classroom as they integrate all subject areas, while giving me the ability to differentiate and use the technology tools available with the magazine.
