This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a title one elementary school. I am a dual language teacher in a dual immersion (one-way) program. I can have up to 62 kids. Our district is currently planning on a full return to school for the 2021-22 school year.

We have a great community where we continually encourage being bilingual.

I was teaching first grade and will be going back to Kindergarten.

My Project

I love scholastic readers. The scholastic readers grasps the student's interest because they come in a variety of topics. From animals to recycling, the readers provide easy to read sentences and colorful pictures. The students get fully emerged in the topic.

Scholastic Readers are the perfect start to becoming a life long reader.

Like I always tell them, "We all learn something new every day." Our students need to be introduced to a variety of readings to encourage their imagination and help them open up to the variety of things that surround us.
