My Students

I may be a little biased, but my class is the most amazing class.

I have a group of 4th graders from all walks of life.

They have come together and have helped create a supportive, loving learning environment. No matter who needs help, someone is always there. They care for everyone and they want to make the world a better place. I know they will do this throughout their lives just by continuing to be themselves.

These students are hard workers! They set great goals for themselves and push with great rigor to achieve them. They work so well together to help each other understand and find new ways to complete their tasks. They are so good at revising their thinking and being brave with sharing their strategies and thoughts even if they have a different answer. This has helped them to really understand the way they process their thoughts, and be in control of their learning. They truly are an amazing group!

My Project

My students will enjoy reading and responding to articles in these Scholastic magazines so much they will not even realize they are doing classwork. My students love reading magazines and learning new things from the articles and pictures. I know they will love having their own subscription. They will look forward to reading new articles each month. These magazine articles will help us to teach across multiple curriculums at one time as well. They will get reading and writing practice while reading about science and many other things going on in the world at the moment.
