Most of my students come from low-income communities and lack many resources. My fifth graders deserve to have supplemental materials that will keep them engaged and make learning meaningful. Scholastic News subscriptions will help my students to connect the real world with their learning. These magazines will also enhance my students' reading fluency and comprehension.
I would love to motivate my students to read and comprehend nonfiction text through Scholastic News magazines.
Each issue comes with news and articles filled with nonfiction information about each topic, plus a reproducible graphic organizer to help students highlight key ideas from reading. These magazines will help my students explore each topic in depth. Scholastic magazines are filled with many projects that my students would love to complete!
