My Students

Students in my school come to school every day ready to learn. They are a happy, creative bunch of children who are eager to succeed in all they do! My students have diverse reading abilities, from very low readers to advanced readers in the same class. My goal is to provide reading materials for kids of all abilities, so the students will have a positive learning experience that they can also take home and continue their learning.

As students become more proficient in reading, their confidence and language skills will increase!

My Project

My students will learn valuable reading and writing skills by having Scholastic News . It would allow my students the opportunity to focus on current events. The students would be able to read nonfiction and fiction articles that keep them engaged across multiple subjects areas such as environmental sciences, social studies and technology.

Scholastic News magazines also have comprehension questions and activities to supplement their reading, which will provide students the opportunity to develop deeper understandings of the texts.

These magazines will be perfect for my students!

I want my students to have the chance to have their own Scholastic News issues to take home and share their learning with their families. The magazine would be a great addition to their own personal libraries!
