My Students
My second-grade students are hungry learners who love to read and reach new heights in their learning. I have some students with special needs, such as ADHD, and one student who has additional special needs. They are incredibly artistic and love to create projects in science, art, and social studies.
During distance learning, I would like to help all second graders be successful by creating engaging online lessons.
We are a Title I school in a low-income community. Our students love school, and I am often welcomed with hugs each morning.
They enjoy math and are making great progress in reading and writing. They love to help each other in P.E and out on the playground.
My Project
Scholastic News has information from around the world about various subjects that are relevant to today’s times. These subjects often include science and social studies as we learn about other cultures and our own. My students have always loved to receive Scholastic News as we do whole lessons and dig deeper for each news story.
Please help this year’s students learn all about current news for kids.
They will look forward to it each month. It is also great for online learning since parents can access videos, worksheets, games, etc to further engage students at home. It really is a great investment for their future.
More than half of students from low‑income households
