I love that my students are all bilingual, as they are a part of our Dual Language program in our district. They are bright, curious, and eager to learn! I try to follow the curriculum in a way that is as engaging as possible. About 2/3 of my teaching occurs through the use of centers. My students have responded well to this approach, as it really sets the tone for a student-centered classroom.
Overall, my students are bright, active learners, who are curious and eager to learn; they have reminded me WHY I chose this field of work.
This subscription will help my students have access to current, real life information that is relevant to them. They will have a new category of "books" in the classroom library, as well as a new literary format to adventure through during Independent Reading time and Literacy Centers.
This donation will create a new sense of joy specifically in my Magazine Center (where currently I print a handful of articles for weekly in black and white).
Students will have weekly exposure to informational text, that is presented in a fun, and engaging way.
They will also have access to online resources through the subscription, which will add another element of excitement.
