My Students

This will be a exciting yet challenging year for me as I embark on the adventure of teaching second grade and kindergarten in the same day! I love these ages. They are still excited to learn yet independent! This is my 10th teaching, and I love every minute of it. I teach in a farming community so you have the down home feel!

At this age, they are so eager to learn and become excited when they learn their sight words and can read on their own.

Students at this age love to learn. I am trying to "Set the Stage" to engage!

My Project

These magazines give such support to my teaching. They expose the students to a new information in such a fun and exciting way. The students love when these magazines come out, and they each have their own copy and then are able to take this home and share with their families.

I love to see the students' excitement when they are reading words in the magazine by themselves.

It gives them such self-confidence. I love to take these magazines and have the students highlight the words that they know. By the end of the year, almost the whole magazine is highlighted!
