My Project
Providing Scholastic Art and Science World magazines for our art and science teachers will help them generate excitement for science and art among students. More specifically, through print classroom sets and digital editions of Scholastic Art, students will gain access to information on art history, diverse cultures and time periods, and art movements. Students in our art classes will be able to access museum tour and art history videos, as well as artist interviews, which ties the larger world to the classroom.
Furthermore, our science teachers will be able to help their students develop critical thinking and reading skills by using digital and classroom print sets of Science World in their classes.
Skills activities, learning games, and videos and articles about the lastest innovations in STEM and the science world will help students' excitement for science bloom.
These resources also appeal to a variety of different learning styles, which works toward the goal of making sure that all students are given access to reources that provide them with an equitable and optimal learning experience. Most of all, they help build excitement about learning, which makes the learning experience more impactful and enriching.
Our library has a small budget, so having access to grant funds to supplement our budget while working to provide valuable resources for our teachers is a pivotal part of our library program's success.
