Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I need resources to help my first-grade students learn about diversity so they can begin to understand, appreciate, and respect differences among people at an early age. Young children are just starting to form their views about the world, so it’s essential to expose them to positive, inclusive messages early on. Age-appropriate materials that highlight different cultures, backgrounds, abilities, and perspectives can help foster kindness, empathy, and open-mindedness. Books, visuals, and engaging activities make these lessons more meaningful and memorable. With the right resources, I can create a classroom environment where every child feels seen, respected, and valued for who they are.
