This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have a range of special needs which include academics and behavior needs. They are eager to learn and succeed in school. My students work with multiple intervention teachers to support their learning needs.

My students are English Language Learners, and they represent several ethnic backgrounds.

I teach at a high poverty school, and we serve a large homeless population.

The students I work with are resilient, and, despite their challenges, they always strive to do their best. My students are special because they give one hundred percent effort to their learning. The students are hardworking and really want to success in all academic areas.

My Project

I am requesting multisensory resources for my kindergarten students that include sandpaper letters and numbers. I want them to have a magnetic alphabet board so that they can practice writing their names and writing words.

These resources will be used during our small group literacy time and will allow them to complete work at their different levels.

My students have been learning in a virtual setting since of August. We have made some gains, but some of my students still only know a few letters and numbers. Help my scholars.
