This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our class consists of 20 outstanding scholars who like to work hard and have fun! We are a Title 1 school, with many of the scholars in our classroom experiencing poverty. Despite outside challenges, we start each day with a positive mindset and focus on the things that are in our control.
My Project
Besides well developed lesson plans, a nurturing teacher, and a brick and mortar school building, students need basic classroom supplies for everyday learning. This year has proven to be a large challenge partly because students cannot share classroom supplies. Many students at our Title 1 school are faced with poverty. Many students come to school without outside access to basic supplies like pencils, crayons, paper, etc. The scholars in our class love learning and need access to supplies that can be used at school and at home. Please help me remove one barrier by providing basic learning supplies to each student!
