This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I hope this message finds you well. I am a 3rd-grade teacher. We are currently learning about Anne Frank in our classroom, and my students have become deeply engaged in understanding her story and the themes of hope, resilience, and the power of writing. Through this unit, they have expressed a strong desire to have their own journals, similar to Anne Frank’s, to document their thoughts, emotions, and experiences.

I am reaching out to request a donation of colorful journals for each of my students.

These journals will provide them with a safe space to explore their own voices, share their stories, and continue the process of self-expression that we have been nurturing in our classroom. Writing, like Anne Frank did, can be a transformative tool, and I believe these journals will encourage my students to develop a lifelong love for expressing themselves.

We are seeking donations to cover the cost of purchasing colorful journals, ideally something that feels special and personal to each child. Your generosity will directly impact these young learners by giving them an opportunity to engage with the lessons we are studying in a more hands-on and meaningful way.
