My Project
The wonderful students in my adaptive classroom are hard working and exceptional. However, they have vastly differing abilities and learning styles. Several are on the Autism spectrum and struggle with focus and attention. Since technology is used for most instruction, many students are struggling to connect basic concepts in all subjects. This school year, I'd love to have more hands-on activities in workbooks that we can complete together.
These workbooks will offer students hands-on learning and incentives to complete tasks.
With these products, students can have a break from constant technology and work on fine motor skills, reading, and connecting concepts at their own pace. The group activities in these workbooks will foster a sense of community in our classroom which strengthens mental health. Students with exceptionalities often struggle with social skills, verbal expression, and anxiety. It is my hope that we can use these tools along with other teaching strategies to build the self-esteem of our students. Thank you for your time and consideration.
