Help me give my students a Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300i document scanner so that they can scan in stories and other goodies to share with family members and each other.
I am a first-grade teacher in a wonderful school in Wisconsin. My students are very special, and I just love going to school every day to see the sparkle in their little 5- to 8-year-old eyes. I also get to connect with students of various ages during and after school. I truly have the most special job in the world and treasure every day with my students! We participate in so many fun activities throughout the year, and our hope is to add even more.
My Project
My students love to share out artwork, creative writing, drawings, and other fun treats! Right now, sharing out means grabbing a big roll of masking tape and taping projects to the wall. I want my students to be able to scan their very special projects, in color, to share out with their families, grandparents and other special people. Sharing stories with other students in the class, and on the SMARTBoard will also be useful for students to be able to make class corrections and to do peer editing, and it will be a lot of fun too!
When taking papers and very special projects off of the wall, they are often torn, wrinkled or completely destroyed because of the sticky tape and are no longer suitable for sharing.
This scanner will help us to avoid the sticky, messy, ripped papers.
A Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300i document scanner will allow my students to have fun scanning their favorite pieces of artwork or their favorite stories so that we can make a document on the computer that can easily be shared. These digital documents will not even require tape! We can also use this scanner to scan in colorful papers and student created puzzles to share with each other. It will be a lot of fun for my students to feed the scanner and see their projects pop up on the SMARTBoard to share with the rest of the group. This item will be a great and very useful addition to our classroom! Thank you so much for your support!
