My Students
The students in my classroom vary across multiple subject areas and represent a wide range of abilities. I currently teach introductory integrated math to English-language learners as well as advanced placement statistics for upper classmen. Programs exist to help the highest and lowest performing students, but my curriculum is specifically designed to reach the marginalized remainder that usually don't draw attention or find a place as they drift under the radar.
Students enter my classroom to find a community where they belong.
I strive to encourage every quirk that students get chastised for elsewhere, and thus find room after room of character and family as students discover their safety in numbers.
My Project
While I can splice multiple devices together and draw on a document to be seen in real time, the archive of work that I pull from is static and hard to share with decent resolution. When students share lengthy work with me I need to be able to print, and when I share work with them I need to be able to scan.
Teaching math in a distance learning world relies heavily on technology.
While this all in one printer will be a lifesaver in my current set up of teaching from home, it will continue to make the class flow once physical school resumes. From printing different versions of test documents to cataloging student work, having all of the technology available on my desk will be huge.
