This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students directly requested these items, giving me specific reasons for them. Several students have shared their desire to create wearable art by learning to sew and create creative clothing pieces. Other students would like to have a scanner to create digital versions of their finished pieces, both to create a digital portfolio and to create limited edition prints of their work to sell at different fundraisers throughout the school year!
These items could change how art is created and taught in my classroom, all directed by the students themselves!
My students are EXCITED to develop new artwork this year. My art students are quirky, messy, empathetic, and, most importantly, creative!
