This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As I move into my 4th year as the Teacher-Librarian of some amazing Heroes, we need a few items to continue to grow our Library Program.
The cordless scanner is needed as our two wired ones do not consistently scan the barcodes any more since they have been busy these last three years checking out Book Love to over 600 students a rotation!!
The writing strips will be used as we working on writing in Library because we would not have such amazing books in our active Green Library without having amazing writers who write the books!
The blue book bins will be used to hold student made books, as well as several Early Reader Series to help student easily access the titles. Many of the Library Goals set by students are to read all the books in a series. These smaller bins will allow students to pull the bin off the shelf, set it on the floor, look through the titles, then easily and neatly put the titles back on the shelf for the next reader.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
