Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach fine art to a diverse population of students, ranging from honors to students receiving special education services, and English language learners who come from many different cultural backgrounds and educational needs. We are a Title I funded school, which means that students come from many different social and economic circumstances.
I teach art to twelve different 6th grade classes.
My Project
A three-in-one printer is needed for future art projects.
Students in my class need to print and scan images with a color printer in order to create visual compositions.
This method will be used for drawing, collage, painting, printmaking, sculpture, computer art, and fashion.
Moreover, a three-in-one printer will enable me, the instructor, to print and enlarge visuals for instruction, which will allow me to communicate more effectively, and print visuals for presentation for the school population. I also will be able to create literature integrating visuals of past and present student works when applying for grants for school.
