My Students
"Hi Ms. G! How are you?" "What are we going to learn about today?" This is some of the morning cheer and smiles that I am fortunate to hear from my students. I work with creative and eccentric upper elementary school students. Our school is a Title I school with all students receiving free breakfast and lunch.
My students come from diverse backgrounds with many challenges socially, emotionally, and financially.
Even with these challenges, my students come to school with a smile on their face, eager to learn and ready for the rigor of the school day. Everyday I look forward to coming to school to provide a safe, nurturing environment in which my students can thrive.
My Project
I am requesting a scanner for my classroom to allow my students to continue using technology. Throughout this year, we have been resilient and overcame the many challenges we faced with distance learning and the use of technology. A scanner will allow my students and I to be able to scan their own work and save it to their google drive. They will be able to access their documents any where that they have a computer and internet access. No document will ever go lost! Also as a special education teacher, it will me to scan important, confidential documents to share with parents and other specialized staff through email.
