Help me give my students the aquarium allows our special educational students a since of accountability as well as belonging; they will have the opportunity to manage, take care and be responsible which builds self worth.

My Project

Most of our students come in not ready for school, feeling unappreciated, hungry and craving love, attention and just to be seen.

The items were chosen to be able to fill a variety of needs and wants such as having a mirror for students to give themselves a space to get prepared for the day.

Having food and drinks to assist with getting our students through the day.

Having the lap aquarium to help w/their anxiety along w/the fidgets and give them a sense of worth by being responsible and being seen to possess leadership skills.

Allowing students to have autonomy of their space helps with their self esteem which gives them a voice whereas they can be or become more vocal to advocate for themselves

Having the night lamps will allow us to have a space for our students to have a break in the whole space when we cannot break out to smaller spaces and continue our learning.
