My Students

The students who take my engineering and robotics classes are apart of a large, urban school and come from many different cultural, ethnic, and economic backgrounds. However, these pieces of their identities do not define them.

The students who take my classes are curious, creative, and in general, they are thinkers.

They come in every day willing to learn and be challenged. They are future engineers and scientists, and I want to help start them off on the right foot.

My Project

Although the students in my classes are learning about engineering and robotics, they are also learning about the importance of communication and how it looks in and out of the classroom. Apart of this learning is also learning the importance of saying "thank you" especially in the later years of high school where there are not only guest speakers that come in and share their engineering experiences with the class, but there are others that are supporting my students by going out of their way by doing things like writing them letters of recommendation for college, conducting interviews for jobs, internships, and scholarships, and so much more.

My engineering and robotics students need thank you cards, blank note cards, pens and stamps in order to tell our guest speakers and those who help us out how much we appreciate them.

The cards, pens, and stamps will go a long way in allowing my students to show how much they appreciate those who help support us.
