Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
When I look at my students, I see tiny humans with big emotions and a desire for learning. They are little beings who need so much more than a room with blank walls and monotonous worksheets drilling information into their heads. My philosophy is to teach the whole child, not just the part of them that may retain some of what I am saying.
I strive for a classroom community that is welcoming to all, calming to be in, and a natural place for learning to occur.
I also love to reward my students for their hard work and growth, with things such as small erasers and prizes to keep them engaged and excited about coming to school.
In addition to the rewards, we need basic supplies to keep our classroom running efficiently. Folders, water bottles, and velcro dots are all staples in keeping good organization and flow. Clorox wipes are always in short supply- and desperately needed for cleanliness in a 4th grade classroom!
I would like to provide the best environment for my students and would love your help to get them a safe and comfortable place to reach new heights in their education!
