Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My amazing 4th grade students are a bright, creative, and will make you laugh everyday! They come from diverse backgrounds, and are mostly from low-income households. When it comes to learning, unfortunately, they do not have the opportunity to help supply the classroom with supplies or tools that we may need to learn and increase engagement. Many students are performing below their expected grade level requirements and would benefit from these items and tools to aid in their daily learning activities.

I hope you can help bring more smiles and the love of learning to my 4th grade classroom!

My Project

Having Scholastic News would enrich my class, not only in keeping up with the world news but to help my students learn how to pick out text evidence to support their ideas, and opinions. Learn to have valuable discussions and shape the world around them.

Learning to form your options, create meaningful discussion is a critical life skill.

This will also help with communication with parents as they can be involved with what we are discussing at school. Scholastic News will provide my students with websites to further their interest in the topic and share with their parents.

I hope you are able to help with this project!
