Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students go to an inner-city school that has a high percentage of English learners. One hundred percent receive free breakfast and lunch. Even with a high poverty background, my students are wonderful and are eager learners.

Amidst the different challenges we face in the inner city school, we try to provide our students with activities that will add to and enrich their experience inside and outside the classroom.

These students are very open to opportunities for learning and experiencing new things.

My Project

Attendance in my classroom is a priority, but when students are sick they are absent from class. As a teacher, I want to provide a clean and safe environment so that the spread of germs is prevented that can result to sick and absent students.

By having the necessary supply of disinfecting wipes, hand sanitizing wipes, tissues, and brooms, my class has a better chance at keeping the classroom clean and germ-free.

These things will help us maintain clean tables, countertops, as well as clean little hands. In addition, boxes of tissues will come in handy as the runny nose and cough season is almost here. A clean and germ-free classroom will result to healthy kids that are present and learning in class.
