These language translation devices will allow our student support team to freely and clearly communicate with our students and their parents/guardians without having any language barriers.
My Title I school is home to students and families from over 30 different ethnicities/nationalities.
When we are planning for various meetings (parent/teacher, IEP, 504) or school-wide events we first have to secure an interpreter for our students and their families. Unfortunately, our school/District does not have an individual who speaks all the native languages of our families.
This project will ensure here would be no longer a need to schedule around our part-time interpreter and all of our meetings with students would have a good outcome because of they and their parents will be able to communicate clearly with staff and other students in their native tongue.
