Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My yearbook staff consists of eight hardworking and dedicated 7th and 8th graders, who have agreed to dedicate their own time to document school events and make memories for the rest of the student body. They have already shown excellence as journalists and masters of technology.

The student body of our middle school is made up approximately 535 students in 5th through 8th grades.

They are creative, athletic, bilingual, passionate, and spirited. Our students have a strong sense of loyalty to their families and communities, our school included. The main goal of this project is to highlight all of these qualities and to strengthen school pride.

My Project

Students here at our school are looking forward to seeing themselves in their new school yearbook. Unfortunately for them, we can't take pictures unless we have the materials to do so. These cameras will provide a way for us to take semi-professional photos of students and staff around the school.

Our small yearbook staff of eight (8) 7th and 8th grade students will be working all year to document school events.

The students are dedicating their time after school twice a week to further the development of our yearbook. Our school has not had a yearbook in 5 years, so these yearbooks will be cherished forever.

The cameras that we plan to purchase will be passed down from this generation of yearbook staff, to the next, and to the next and beyond. These cameras will have seen all sorts of events and celebrations, ranging from dances, to sports events and even graduation.
