My Students

"Say Cheese" Let's remember all the great things we did and learned in 2nd grade with photos!

I teach 2nd grade at a school with a diverse student body.

We have good community support and a strong staff that is considered an extended family. Our families are considered high poverty, and with extreme LAUSD budget cuts, I am spending a lot of my own money to make sure my kids have the necessary materials in the classroom and at home to ensure they have every opportunity to be successful.

My Project

My students need a Coolpix digital camera with memory card to capture their memories in 2nd grade. My class needs a digital camera to capture all of the memories my students are creating during their 2nd grade year. Photographs will motivate my students to express their creativity and will capture their special moments they've experienced throughout the year. I also will use photographs as another writing tool to encourage students to write about their special moments.

A digital camera will capture all of the special memories my students have experienced throughout the year.

Photographs are another resource to use for developing their oral language skills and writing skills. In addition, they will be able to treasure their memories and learning during their 2nd grade year.
