My classroom is filled with 28 fifth graders who are ready, willing, and wanting to learn and do their best every day. They each bring their own unique character and charisma to our small, rural school of 400 students.
My students are an eager bunch of learners who strive to make themselves better than they were the day before.
They love giving presentations, teaching one another, and telling stories to entertain. They also enjoy learning about people, places, and things they have never heard of before.
My Project
Each year, the school creates a beautiful yearbook to preserve the students' memories for years to come. My goal is to put the power of creation into the hands of the students.
These cameras will allow fifth grade students this year (and for years to come) to truly embrace the phrase "a picture is worth a thousand words".
The students will capture memories from all of the fun and exciting school events. For example, spirit day, fall carnival, science and reading weeks, and so much more.
The best part, the yearbook will move from being adult-curated memories to ones from the students' points-of-view. What better way to immortalize a school year? Thank you so much for considering helping with our project!
