Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My first graders are amazing and ready to learn. I want them to have as many positive experiences as possible. They attend a Title I school in our city. Our school serves preschool to fifth grade students. My students are thinkers, leaders, and change-makers. 99% of our students qualify for the federal lunch program. My students come from hardworking families who support their education.

My students are 24 wonderful first grade students who are learning foundational skills and are very motivated.

They love to be read to and are excited to learn everything they can. They are curious about the world around them, and I want them to thrive.

My Project

Motivating my students to learn about money is a goal I aim to reach. The materials in this project were chosen to motivate my students to save when possible. The paint and create banks will be used to encourage my students to save for a goal they may want. We starting short term goals so eventually they know they can set long term goals.

The U.S.

Coins Shape Stickers will be used to make a coin book they can refer to during our unit on money. The File Folder Set, Storex Premium File Cart and, Owl Hall Pass Lanyards will be used to help in the class with organization.

The

Learning About Cents book will be used to continue learning about financial literacy throughout the year. By helping us with this project you will be helping my students have discussions about setting goals to save money. You will also be helping them write while keeping track of their learning.
