My Project
Our school has moved into the digital age by providing our students with 1:1 laptops and while this is fantastic there are some challenges I've discovered as a writing teacher. Many teachers find the transition to a digital environment difficult and while I’m fairly adept at learning new technology and trying new things there is a learning curve involved. I need a Microsoft Surface Book to help me learn how best to implement these changes in my classroom.
This device will serve me best as it is the latest technology, highly portable, and will allow me to research and take online professional development on the go.
I am constantly researching and trying to find new ways to help my students and myself grow. This device will allow me to conduct research to improve my practice from anywhere and also allow me to complete the process of becoming a Google certified educator. This process will help me implement changes in my classroom and will greatly benefit my students as I become more proficient with the technological aspects of modern education. I will also become a resource for other teachers in my school and district and possibly elsewhere as I would love to become a Google trainer.
I have been searching for a solution to these challenges and have decided that a Microsoft Surface Book would be the perfect solution. This device will allow me to grow as an educator, allow my students to progress in a digital environment, and allow me to help other teachers implement similar changes in their classrooms.
