Saving The Earth! Using Re-Usable Water Bottles For Field Day!

My students need the BPA water bottle for an ECO-Friendly Field Day. Last year our students wasted so many plastic water bottles and cups during the event, so I would like to help the environment.

My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty elementary school, my students are faced daily with multiple challenges, both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences. I want to be able to provide my students with meaningful learning experiences without the worries of not having enough funding to provide the necessary materials. It is impossible to close the achievement gap when we lack the necessary materials to be successful.

We strive to provide a quality education to help develop well-rounded, respectable students.

I love that PE gives children an opportunity to smile and run off energy during the day. So much of my job is teaching my students to work together, speak politely to each other, play safely, cooperate, and be helpful. I hope to inspire my students to develop healthy lifestyles that include play, healthy choices, and being kind to others.

My Project

The re-usable water bottles will benefit our students so that they do not get dehydrated during field day which is a day that students spend out side playing multiple games and activities. It is usually held in June when it is hot outside and the students are thirsty. Last year our students went through so many bottles of water that we had trash bags filled of bottles. I would like the students to be able to have a re-usable water bottles so that they can make it a "green" field day. After the event they would be able to take the bottle home and also use it.
