Saving Our Natural Resources With Hydroponics

My Project

Since kindergarten, students have learned to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle by changing how they brush their teeth, take a bath, and by using recycling bins. The materials for "Saving Our Natural Resources with Hydroponics" project will take this awareness to another level. Such as hydroponics reduces water use significantly by recirculating the water. And, with local hydroponic farms, fresher produce is easily accessed, therefore reducing carbon footprints.

The health of our Earth is in the hands of our students.

This project will allow me to teach my students how to make their own hydroponic system by looking at an existing hydroponic tower. They will have to research how hydroponic systems work, design it, and build it using their own designs. Furthermore, students will grow their own produce to see if their design works.

Virtual learning during the pandemic has slowed down independent, higher level thinking with our students. The "Saving Our Natural Resources with Hydroponics" project will encourage students to think more, do more, and care more for our environment. Please help us reach our goal!
