My Students
There is an Indian proverb that says,"We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children." I want to teach my first graders about our environment and how to take care of the earth for themselves and future generations.
We are 22 first graders from rural Minnesota, and we attend a wonderful K-1 school.
We love to learn, and our enthusiasm for learning shows in everything we do! We want to learn more about the environment, Earth Day, and what we can do to help protect our earth for generations to come.
My Project
These fun books and recycling activities will get my students excited about our environment and increase awareness of global warming, energy conservation, and recycling. The facts and pictures are designed to show the importance of protecting Earth and its resources at a level that is easy for first graders to understand.
My students love science and they love to help...a wonderful combination for learning about how to help our environment.
These books and recycling activity will provide a great opportunity to learn about something that significantly affects their future. I think it will encourage children to become involved with earth friendly activities that will benefit our planet.
