This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our Title I school is full of wonderful students that come from all walks of life. Many of them participate in the free and reduced-price breakfast and lunch program. Even though we have students that have a difficult time bringing the basic supplies to school, they come to school ready and eager to learn.
Our students enter the doors of our colorful school knowing that the staff is prepared to help them reach their potential of being college and career ready.
My Project
A few weeks ago my students started taking home their Chromebooks daily. My students are excited that they now have access to sites and apps at home that we use in class. I do have a student that medically can not carry heavy things in a backpack. I would like each of my students to have a shoulder bag to carry their Chromebook back and forth to school in not only to keep the Chromebooks safe, but to help keep their backs healthy.
Having gone through two stressful and scary hurricanes this school year, I want to make sure my students do not have to stress over taking their Chromebook back and forth safely and not hurting their back.
