My students are like my kids. I am a special education teacher so I have the opportunity to have my students for multiple years. This helps us get to know each other on a more intimate level. They are a bunch of kids that come from diverse backgrounds outside of school, but when they enter the school building we are FAMILY!
My Project
The financial literacy kit that has been requested will help all of my Learning Support students form grades 3-5 learn about saving and spending money.
My students learn in a variety of different ways.
These financial literacy kids offer a wide range of activities on money, saving and spending that can be used in a small group setting or whole group setting. They also offer hands on materials that will make it easier to learn the necessary skills. I want to prepare my students for the “Real World” so learning these skills are a integral part of my teaching and their learning.
