My students need a tablet and case to be able to learn more about Science through the use of technology. This will enable them to all learn the same things simultaneously.

My Students

Remember being in 8th grade and being totally grossed out when you dissected a frog or cow heart? Remember trying to learn the human body systems by coloring them? You can help middle school students see the body systems in a new way--in 3-D and help them virtually dissect!

My students are middle school age students.

We are a large middle school with a diverse population of economic backgrounds. This year, I will begin teaching an advanced Science class as well as four other Science classes. I would like to inspire my students to take their knowledge of Science to the next level, in preparation for high school.

My Project

With the assistance of a tablet, I will be able to teach my students simultaneously. Each student will have the same opportunity to participate in the "virtual labs". The tablet will continue to be updated with different applications--so as Science changes, the students continue to learn. Imagine going from looking at old posters of human body systems to being able to view them in 3-D images. Remember dissecting in middle school? With the assistance of a tablet, students will be able to "virtually dissect" --and all students will be able to learn simultaneously.

My students are the next generation of scientists.

Imagine if my class could inspire them to become the next scientist who discovers a cure for Parkinson's Disease, Autism or Cancer? The possibilities are endless if the students have the tools they need to learn.
