Help me give my students Rainyear 14 inch laptop sleeves so they can safely transport their Chromebooks from school to home for distance learning lessons.
My students are an amazing group of hard working kids. They love to question and make connections.
As their teacher, I try to help my students not only learn to love math but to understand how it applies to the real world; recently that includes learning in a digital format.
As a generation of digital citizens, many of the connections students make are via the internet.
It is my goal this year to ensure that they will not only be able to join the virtual learning world, but will also learn about the responsibility that goes along with being a digital student.
My Project
This year my students will have 1:1 access to Chromebooks. Although I am excited to help introduce the students to true virtual learning and all of the possibilities of enhanced learning, I am very concerned for the safety of the Chromebooks. Many of my students spend an hour or more on the schoolbus each day. Once at home, most of them have siblings who will also have a Chromebook from our district.
A laptop sleeve will help ensure a longer life for the Chromebooks, as well as assist my students in identifying their laptop versus their siblings so that they are able to transport the correct one to and from school.
