My Project

This project is for a PK-5 grade elementary school in a little town in Indiana. We are a Title 1 school; like every other school we try to make every penny of our budget count. Most of my budget goes to books for the library. Every year I have to decide between buying paperbacks and getting lots of new books or buying fewer higher quality books. With the CoLibri book covering machine I can add another layer of protection to our collection. No torn edges or books covered in tape.

The CoLibri book machine will allow us to keep circulating all-time favorites without having to buy replacements every couple of years.

Dog Man will get years of reading. Scholastic dollars will go further, because I can cover the books and make them last more than one school year. I will be able to give new life to second hand books by being able to shop GoodWill and Half-Price books. Students do not want to read a beat up torn book. By putting a protective layer on the cover I will be able to keep them looking brand new for a long time.
