Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

For this proposal, I am requesting items for our Hydroponic Farm Lab. Students are learning how to use hydroponic farming methods, preservation of food, and the importance of healthy eating. The dehydrator will be used to make our own powders, seasonings, and even our own teas from the many foods and produce they grow on the farm. This extends the use of our produce allowing for less food waste and more options to add flavor and nutrients into our recipes. The air fryer provides us with options to prepare and cook our food to demonstrate the small changes to our eating, and can create a healthier lifestyle without losing flavor and desire to eat the meals. The air popper is for similar reasons, a better alternative to microwave popcorn, kiddos can use the seasoning they make as topping, and we can also pop grains, such as brown rice to make snacks and cereals. It's all very exciting possibilities with these items!
