Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Help us save our tools for learning! As English Language Learners my students use visuals to help them learn language by providing our classroom with a laminator you will help to protect our visual learning tools like bookmarks, labels and signs.
I am a 2nd grade teacher in a New York Public School.
We are a high needs/low income population primarily made up of English Language Learners. My class is 25 children who are beginning level English Language Learners who are working very hard to learn the language.
My Project
I am asking for a laminator that I will be able to use to help preserve many of the teaching tools that I create for and with my students. Using the skills we work on we create bookmarks, labels, signs and charts to create guides for my students to help them use their skills. The laminator will help to preserve the tools we make so that the students can get more use out of them and I can spend more time teaching and less time reproducing and recreating these helpful tools.
I believe that if my students are not worried about distorting their learning tool they are more likely to take with them and use it throughout their day.
