My Students

Hi, welcome to our classroom! We are hard-working and fun-loving first grade students. We love writing about new ideas and sharing the wonderful things that we are learning.

The sky is the limit for us!

The majority of the students in the class come from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, but that doesn't stop them. They are smart and determined students who are ready to make a positive difference. All they need is a little help from you. Please join with us in our quest for success!

My Project

Through my years of teaching, I have noticed how much students have trouble sitting in chairs. They want to lean back, sit backwards, and place their feet on desks. Children have a tough time sitting still! This is a problem when trying to teach a group of first graders. I would like to give my students a chance to move around while listening and learning.

Please help my kids to be able to move and learn!

My goal is for each of my student to have a Soft Seat cushion. The tables in my classroom will be lowered close to the floor and the students will be able to sit on soft cushions instead of the old hard chairs. These seats can help any students will sensory disorders or attention issues by allowing them the freedom of movement. Students will be able to sit on the cushions in any way that they are comfortable. This will help my students to be more engaged and less like wiggle worms.
