This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
All of my students love playing at the sand box but it's hard on their knees.
My students are inquisitive and fun-loving four year-olds who love to play at the sandbox.
As all early childhood educators know, sand play is developmentally important for preschoolers. However, because it is so low, they must kneel around it on the hard asphalt which can be very cold on cold days or extremely hot on sunny days!
My Project
The Lakeshore Inside-Outside mats will provide comfort for my students' knees as they enjoy their playtime around the outdoor sandbox! This will also ensure that they do not damage their knees or their clothing, which I'm sure their parents will appreciate as well!
Please consider donating to my project, because it is not my students' fault that our shrinking budget cannot provide for this essential piece of equipment to allow them to focus on the learning and not the pain on their little knees.
