My Students

My students have been working each and every day through this difficult, challenging time of distance learning, COVID-19, and now winter freeze in Texas.

They are a very large, diverse group of students that are learning from home for various reasons to not be exposed to COVID-19, homeless, or emotional disorders.

They are children who want to excel and want to open every door of opportunity that leads them to be the best they can possibly be.

There is nothing they can't achieve if we give them the tools they need to prepare for a better tomorrow.

My Project

This math kit will help my students have hands-on materials to learn about financial literacy. They will have to compute how much money they owe, how much they earn, and how much they have to save or spend. Having visuals and hands-on materials gives students a greater understanding of the concept of financial literacy. They will have the opportunity to make real-life decisions involving money. These lessons and the kit are made specifically for my students. Help me get this into their hands and into their minds!
