My Project
Many of my students are interested in the medical profession. By giving them experiences like this Stop the Bleed training course while in high school, they can make more informed decisions about their career paths.
Knowing how to help in an emergency situation can save lives.
The program aligns with science standards as it includes access to a 30-minute NGSS-aligned online course for those aged 12 and older. This training course provides students with the materials to practice methods to stop and control bleeding in an emergency by using direct pressure, packing and bandaging, and tourniquets. Students also learn the physiology of blood, blood volume, blood pressure, and blood clotting, as well as relevant pharmacology and vascular anatomy. The clot buster kids requires students to engineer a solution to the problem of a clot.
