My Students

My students are in a school that is 40% economically disadvantaged and live in the rural foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Our school prides itself on being excellent.

Sometimes students want to be excellent, but cannot afford supplies to help the get there.

I would like to have those supplies in my classroom to help them on their way to excellence!

My Project

Over 50% of my students ask for paper, pencils, glue, and other classroom supplies every day. I want my students to not worry about where the money or supplies can or will come from.

Our school encourages them to be their "excellent" each day, but that is hard when you do not have pencils, paper, coloring pencils or glue.

In my science class we need these supplies daily as we take notes, sketch images of cell organelles, or learn about mitosis vs. meiosis.

The pandemic has been hard on families the past two years. Let's make the holidays a little better for them
