My Students

I have some really great kids this year. They are wonderful to work with and they are actually interested in learning! Most of them are from low economic status and over half receive free or reduced piece lunch. I love working with these students because they try so hard!

I want to teach my students a love of learning.

Learning shouldn't end when you go home for the day, but it continues for the rest of their lives. One way they can do that is through reading. I want to show some of my lower readers that reading can be worth it with the right book! This will give them ample opportunities to read a book they will love.

My Project

This year has literally been the craziest year ever. The COVID Pandemic has seriously stressed out me and my students. They are really great at wearing masks at school but we struggle with washing our hands. So we go through a bunch of hand sanitizer. Every time we leave and come back to the classroom, I always have my students sanitize. We are slowly running out of the year supply that I was supplied.

We also need headphones for our Chromebooks because the ones we have are getting old.

Everything we are doing is online. My students watch about 3 videos a day on average on their Chromebooks, so they desperately need headphones to keep up with their work.
