This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students come from low income families. Many of them do have parents, but they are still living below the poverty level. Our scholars are transient students who are not accustomed to being in the same school for an entire year. We are teaching our students character traits so that after they leave us, they will be equipped with the right tools to succeed.
My school is a Title I school, and we are the only stability in our scholars' lives.
My school is classified as the poorest zip code in the city. My students need assistance in knowing there is more to life than what they see in their neighborhood. We provide a safe haven to students where they know they are loved, and teachers and staff encourage them to believe in themselves.
My Project
As a result of Convoid 19 sanitation is key to keeping people healthy. As an educator and students are sharing devices it is important we keep areas clean and disinfect them after every use.
We must keep our scholars healthy by sanitizing areas they share daily.
Our students will return to school and we need to continue to make it a safe haven for them. We need to encourage our students to be safe and healthy without it being a distraction in their learning. Sanitize is the key to success.
